DuPage Montessori School elementary education offers children:
Materials and books about each academic area, all within the classroom
Daily time for individual and group research in all academic areas
Freedom to explore, make choices and individualize their learning experience
Opportunities to develop valuable communication skills through discussion with teachers and other students
A environment that balances independence and responsibility
Elementary students here at our school have access to their own web site where they can keep track of their assignments, ask teachers questions in forums, get reading assigments, post and comment on their own stories, and do their math homework all online.
This allows us to have a more customized and interactive curriculum even when our students are away from school.
The typical DuPage Montessori elementary student ranks in the 90th percentile on national standardized tests, placing our school in the top 1% of schools whose students take the IOWA Test of Basic Skills.
Junior Achievement programs are presented by trained volunteers through workshops on business, community and economics. The children learn about responsibility and economic opportunities in the community, including business and career opportunities. They also learn about economic/business resources found in state and regional economies as well as business operations and economic issues in the United States.
